Tributyrin, or glycerol butyrate, is a highly absorbable form of butyrate that may assist in strengthening the gut mucosal barrier, supporting healthy blood sugar regulation as a short chain fatty acid/ketone, and clearing cellular debris by breaking down (beta oxidizing) abnormal very long chain fatty acids, lipid rafts and aberrant proteins within the cell following epigenetic insult. Butyrate breaks apart abnormal lipids/proteins, CPU concentrated phospholipids assist in clearing intracellular debris and reestablishing healthy phospholipid levels within the cell and organelle membranes for optimal health, repair and rejuvenation.
